Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Jobstride, operated by Adel Hafri (“Jobstride”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). If you have questions, contact us at support@jobstride.co.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider).
• Content you provide — CVs and documents you upload, job descriptions and listings you paste, application records, contacts, interview notes, and any text you submit to our AI features.
• Payment information — handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not store full card numbers; we keep a customer reference and limited billing metadata (plan, status) as provided by Paddle.
• Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser type, and interactions, used for security, rate limiting, and improving the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
• To process your documents through our features (CV optimization, CV building, interview preparation, application tracking, insights).
• To process payments and manage subscriptions and credits.
• To send transactional emails (password resets, reminders, billing notices). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI processing

Some features send your content (for example, the text of your CV and a job description) to a third-party AI provider, Anthropic, to generate suggestions, rewrites, and interview questions. These providers process the content to return a result and, under their API terms, do not use API inputs or outputs to train their models. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train our own models.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your documents and applications at any time, and you may request deletion of your account. After deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing records) to comply with legal obligations.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@jobstride.co. You may also manage and delete most of your data directly from within the app.

7. Data security

We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls, and provider-level safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authorities of breaches as required by law.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.

11. Browser extension

Jobstride offers an optional browser extension (the Jobstride Job Assistant) that lets you save a job, optimize your CV, or start interview prep directly from a job posting you are viewing.

When you click one of these actions, the extension reads the content of the job posting on the active tab (such as the job title, company, and link) and sends it to your Jobstride account so the feature can run. It reads your existing Jobstride login cookie solely to authenticate these requests under your own account. It does not store that cookie elsewhere or share it with anyone other than Jobstride, and it communicates only with Jobstride’s own website and API.

The extension runs on a page only when you click it, does not track your browsing history, and does not collect data for advertising. It stores only minor preferences locally in your browser. Any information it sends to Jobstride is handled under this same Privacy Policy.
